Relive an intense espionage tale of Korean history, celebrating its 100th anniversary. In 1919, during the Japanese colonial period, two events paved the way for the independence of Korea, the March 1st Movement and the establishment of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea. Following that, a covert armament for freedom was born, dubbed the Heroic Corps. The covert group was led by renegade Kim Won Bong. Nobody knows his real name or can even get close to him but somehow a doctor named Young Jin seems to get herself involved with his shady dealings.

Throughout the series, Lee Yo Won breathes life to her character, Lee Young Jin. Born Korean and raised by a Japanese military doctor, she follows in her surrogate father’s footsteps and becomes the first  female surgeon in Joseon after graduating from  a prestigious university in Shanghai. She doubles as an intelligence agent. Later, she meets Won Bong who utilises her to infiltrate enemy territory.
