(Petaling Jaya, April 17) Malaysia’s subscription video-on-demand service, dimsum, today announced that it will make its debut in Singapore through StarHub Go, a one-stop video streaming service offering hours of endless entertainment.
The partnership will see the launch of dimsum on StarHub Go as a newly branded video-on-demand space, making Singapore the third country after Malaysia and Brunei, as part of its regional expansion plan. StarHub is also the first partner to launch the lite version of dimsum offering high quality content from China, Thailand, Japan and Korea.
“We are very happy to partner StarHub, and excited that StarHub Go users will be the first in Singapore to watch the latest and popular content on dimsum. This addition is significant in our long-term goal to expand dimsum to regional audiences,” said Lam Swee Kim, Chief Marketing Officer, dimsum.
“dimsum is a recognised video streaming service in Malaysia and our collaboration will give StarHub Go customers even more reason to cheer,” said Justin Ang, Head of Product, StarHub. “We are always looking to add fresh content to the service and are confident that dimsum will expand the breadth and depth of our StarHub Go offering. In addition to new Thai dramas, StarHub Go Select customers can look forward to hours of programming from China, Japan and Korea at no additional cost.”
The first batch of content to hit the shores of Singapore includes concurrent Japanese drama Love-Rerun, Korean web series High End Crush and top-rated Thai idol dramas You Are My Destiny, Love Books Love Series – The Seven Year Itch and Club Friday To Be Continued – Love Test. All the series on dimsum StarHub Go are available in HD with English, Chinese and Malay subtitles.
