dimsum Paves Way for Thai Content Expansion

Signed MOU with Artop Media Company and

announced strategic partnerships with GMM Grammy

Video -on-demand service dimsum has announced its strategic partnership with GMM Grammy and signed a memorandum of understanding with Artop Media Company during the Top Thai Brands 2018 event at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

With this partnership announcement, dimsum cements a long-term collaboration with major content providers and distributors in Thailand such as GMM Grammy and Artop Media Company to further expand its Thai content offering on dimsum. The deal also promises to bring Thai popular series and artistes tours to Malaysia including the cast of drama series, “My Dear Loser Series: Monster Romance” where they will meet their fans at 8pm today and tomorrow at 2:30pm. This will signify the first collaboration between dimsum and Artop Media, a Bangkok-based content sales and distribution company which focuses on Asian TV series and films.

dimsum Chief Marketing Officer, Miss Lam Swee Kim and Mr Zhang Dong, Chief Executive Officer of Artop Media Company signed the memorandum, which is jointly witnessed by Director General of Department of International Trade Promotion, Mrs. Chantira Jimreivat Vivatrat and graced by “My Dear Loser Series: Monster Romance” main cast Thanat Lowkhunsombat (Lee Thanat) and Worranit Thavornvongs (Mook). The tour is supported by the Thai Airways International, Royal Thai Embassy, Thai Creative, GMM Grammy and Artop Media Company (Thailand).

Commenting on the signing, Lam Swee Kim said, “Artop Media Company and GMM Grammy are great partners, and we are excited to work together to ensure Thai entertainment lovers in the region have access to the best Thai content. Some of the biggest content on dimsum include drama titles like You Are My Destiny, Flower Ring, Fabulous 30, Princess Hours, U-Prince Series, Mia 2018 aka The Fierce Wife and more. Young and engaging Thai romance dramas are also available on GMM Grammy’s branded section on dimsum, such as Club Friday Celeb’s Stories, Love Book Love Series, Love Song Love Series, Love Under the Shadow and others.
