dimsum, a subscription-based video-on-demand (VOD) service in Malaysia collaborates with TikTok, the leading destination for short-form mobile video, to introduce its first branded hashtag challenge, #dimsumThaiPop2019. The inaugural challenge is in conjunction with its third anniversary event dimsum THAI POP 2019, which will be held on November 10.
Featuring the internet sensation theme song of the Thai drama “My Ambulance” which has now garnered over 88 million views online, the challenge invites fans to perform the dance following tutorials by the song’s artistes Ice Paris and Pearwah Nichaphat. TikTok winners would stand a chance to win tickets to dimsum THAI POP 2019. The event’s media partners, 988 and mStar have also committed their participations in the dance-off.
To join the challenge, TikTok users can create and share their dance videos using the designated song, and hashtag #dimsumThaiPop2019 and #MyAmbulance. The dance-off will take place from 12 to 19 October 2019 and two best dance challenge videos will be entitled for 2 VIP tickets worth RM1,198 to dimsum Thai Pop 2019. They’ll also get the opportunity to be a star for a day and perform the dance on stage.
