dimsum and MyBHA Introduce Content Streaming for Hotel Entertainment in Malaysia

Subscription video-on-demand service, dimsum recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Malaysia Budget Hotel Association (MyBHA) to introduce content streaming for hotel entertainment in Malaysia.

Through this collaboration, MyBHA is introducing daily dimsum streaming to accommodate short-term hotel guests entertainment needs. Guests can soon enjoy 1 day, 3 days, 5 days or 7 days pass to enjoy the latest Asian entertainment when they check in at hotels registered with MyBHA.

To enjoy this, guests will be provided with a streaming pass upon check-in. Upon registration or signing in, they will be able to enter the code to complete redemption. Guests are able to start streaming on dimsum’s mobile application.

Chief Executive Officer of Star Media Group, Mr Andreas Vogiatzakis and National Deputy President, Dr Sri Ganesh Michiel signed the memorandum, witnessed by dimsum Chief Marketing Officer, Miss Lam Swee Kim on behalf of dimsum and MyBHA Trade & Commerce Bureau Chairman, Mr Andy Lau Eng Leong on behalf of MyBHA. The event is also attended by MyBHA Deputy Secretary General, Mr Abdul Jalal Md Nawi and MyBHA EXCO, Mr Raymond Woo.

Commenting on the signing, Lam Swee Kim said: “We are excited about this collaboration with MyBHA. This has given us the opportunity to connect with more hotels in the near future.”

“The Association is currently engaging with Corporate Entities to collaborate in creating benefits for its members and looking for opportunities to provide hotel guests better services and lower down the operation cost,” said MyBha National Deputy President, Dr Sri Ganesh Michiel.

“I would also urge all Hoteliers to be united in making this industry better by joining our Association and take the opportunity to enjoy the benefits. We would like to thank dimsum in providing our members their services at a special rate.”

Currently, there are over 2300 budget hotels registered under MyBHA. Guests of these hotels can also look forward to stream dimsum on Hotel Smart TVs which is scheduled to release in the first quarter of 2020.
